From 7 pm on the 10th June 2016 this Blog will concentrate on accentuating the positives. There will be no more tales of woe and reflecting on the challenges of dementia. Life is a challenge we have to be positive as we decide how to make our way in the world.
It will take me some time to update this Blog to reflect how Maureen and I have always tried to conduct our lives.
I have not experienced your posts as being negative, not at all. I think they are balanced and reflect reality. I would ask you NOT to change your focus and to report in the most accurate way possible that which occurs as part of this process – up send downs, good and bad. Such documentation helps others not to have unrealistic expectations to which they feel they are some how not living up to.
I would also encourage you to follow this blog and to look back on its archives: http://thejourneytoanotherworld.blogspot.ca/
the author and her care partner and are located in New Zealand. it’s a wonderful blog and record of day-to-day life with dementia – I think you will like it.

Many thanks Susan you really are Amazing. I’m putting my thoughts out through my Blog and I am so grateful that you and others make comment. I want to focus on our lives rather than dementia: taking a leaf out of Kate Swaffer’s theme of Living Beyond Dementia. By the way I’m going to call my wife Magnificent Maureen from now on: she is also Amazing. Thanks for the reference I will be over there shortly.
