Dementia:From Bad to Worse

Mental Health Nurse now who is under tremendous pressure to calm things down  This is not looking good.  An Assessment Centre may be the best option but needs Maureen’s consent.

  1. Someone should check she has what’s known as capacity to make decisions. If she can’t, then someone has to act on her behalf. That’s what had to happen last year with my husband. They can’t just assume she’s all right when it’s obvious she isn’t. Use that word ‘safeguarding’ if you need it. Incapacitated people must be allowed to live safely, whatever that entails.
