Seven years ago we were on a Baltic Cruise as a special birthday celebration for my wife. We have been reminiscing a little this afternoon. I am going to get the DVD of our holiday out shortly as a variation from watching YouTube in the evening.
This is an attempt to do two things. Firstly, to try to ground my wife in the here and now: something to reinforce that we are husband and wife. Secondly, to talk of holidays we might like to try in the future. Who knows we might even start the process of renewing our passports tomorrow. I will keep you posted on how things go.
Edited one hour later:
This activity – Cruising – will not take place as the hunt is on for missing distance glasses. I am beginning to think that looking for something is just another ‘racket’ (Transaction Analysis terminology) something to do when my wife can’t remember how to spend her time. I would speculate it is a routine: searching in itself just something to do a time filler. I arrived at this conclusion when my wife said: ‘I’ve have forgotten what I’m looking for’.
